The moment we’ve long awaited is almost here so we’re rounding up some fun things to do in NYC this Spring. Spring brings the ideal weather to make the most of what this city has to offer, including tons of NYC outdoor activities. We’re talking food, fitness and the great outdoors. Check out our top picks below:
Time Out Market NYC
The world-renowned Time Out Market is opening again. Located in Dumbo, this market offers a curated selection from some of NYC’s best restaurants and chefs. Truly the definition of eat, drink and be merry. Oh, and did we mention it’s located along the water perfect for a scenic spring stroll? A walk will surely be needed because you’ll want to try all the amazing food and drinks.
Fhitting Room Outdoor Workouts at Showfields Rooftop
Are you ready to enjoy in person group workout classes again? Lucky for you, Fhitting Room is resuming its residence at the Showfields Rooftop in the heart of Noho. Get pumped for outdoor kettlebell classes with some of NYC’s best trainers (we may be biased but come see for yourself). Check out the robust schedule of classes here.
Showfields is the most interesting store in the world for a reason. Spend some time browsing interactive displays that bring artists, brands, events and experiences magically together. Coming soon, Fhitting Room will have a pop-up merch shop that you can literally slide into. Get inspired to work(out) at-home as Showfields has dedicated its entire second floor to this timely theme. Plus, this neighborhood is the perfect place to enjoy al fresco dining and/or check out some kitschy shops!
The Edge + Hudson Yards
This one's for those of who are not intimidated by heights. Experience the highest outdoor skydeck in the Western Hemisphere at The Edge. You can walk over the glass floor viewing all of NYC below. Experience the city like never before with breathtaking 365 degree views. It’s located in Hudson Yards, so you can shop and eat at some of NYC’s newest and most diverse spots. Don’t miss the always-fresh churros at the Mercado at Little Spain on the lower level.
Little Island at Pier 55
A park and work of art all in one will be opening in spring 2021. Designer Barry Diller wanted to create “an immersive experience with nature and art.” You can enjoy the warm weather and relax with some incredible views. We recommend putting this on your list of activities to do outdoors in NYC this Spring and Summer.
Picnic in Central Park
Put your newly found quarantine charcuterie skills to use with a picnic in one of NYC’s greatest parks. Grab some of your favorite snacks, a blanket, and you’re all set for a wonderful NYC afternoon. We recommend grabbing yourself a Swell bottle and filling it with your wine of choice for an afternoon in Central Park #balance.
Washington Square Park
Head to one of NYC's best parks with copious grassy areas to sit around and soak in the sun. There's a good chance you'll find live music from local New Yorkers. Did we mention the amount of dogs you'll get to see? Plus, there's so many great restaurants and coffee shops in the area you can head to after.
This list has been curated by our team members so drop us a message with any questions or activities we may not know about. Mask up and Live FHIT.
