3 Health and Fitness TED Talks You Need to Watch

Fall is a time for change. The colors of the leaves change, your clothes change, and for some people their mindset changes. Similar to New Years, Fall is a time to hit the reset button and fall back on track with many things including health and fitness. Here at The Fhitting Room we try our best to motivate our FHIXers with quotes on the board and encouragement to blast out that last rep, but it's always nice to have a motivational "bank" to fuel up from when you are lacking that extra "umph." The below TED talks, will charge you up when your motivational battery runs low.

1. What do David Blaine and The Fhitting Room have in common? We are both constantly "pushing through the pain to be the best we can be." While David tries to push the boundaries of magic and World records, us fitness enthusiasts constantly try to break our own fitness plateaus. Listen to David explain how everything from mental control to the food we eat, can affect our performance.

2. How does one balance work and life? This is a question many of us face, especially living in NYC where dinner plans and fitness classes are at the mercy of work deadlines and public transportation. This enlightening TED talk reveals an aha moment that will help you find balance. HINT: working out is only part of the equation.

3. If you're showing up day in and day out at The Fitting Room you're most likely concerned with self improvement. Mental, physical and spiritual improvement can do wonders for your health and relationships, but some people have the tendency of overdoing it and as a result missing out in life. Listen to A.J. Jacob's experience with following every single piece of health advice and how it nearly killed him.
