Rich Alvarez

Rich began playing organized baseball and basketball early in his childhood and continued throughout his adolescence. It wasn’t until high school that Rich took his first steps into a gym. With guidance from his uncle, Rich started training with kettlebells, dumbbells, and bodyweight movements purely with the intent to get stronger and faster on the field. Now, Rich is taking his passion for sports and training into the classroom as he works towards a degree in Exercise Science at CUNY Brooklyn College.

Fun Fact: Rich's favorite movie is A Bronx Tale, which inspired his favorite quote: "The saddest thing in life is wasted talent."

Rich's Playlist

Class with Rich means a varied playlist. You'll hear anything from rap to Latin to house music. Although when he's alone, his tastes tend to change: "I’ll even let this be known... your boy listens to country music when I drive."
