How to Keep Your Super Bowl Party Healthy

It’s almost game time! You know what that means…beer, nachos, wings and more beer! Super Bowl Sunday is a time to socialize with friends over food and drinks, but that doesn't mean you have to call a time out on your clean-eating. If you're going to a Super Bowl party Sunday, read on for ideas to keep you healthy and FHIT from kick off to the final touch down.

Bring a healthy option. 
Since you can’t control what your friends bring to the table, make sure you have another option besides mini hotdogs and buffalo chicken dip. One of our favorite healthy snacks is roasted chickpeas!

Roasted Chickpeas
Oven-roasted chickpeas are about as simple as it gets — toss with olive oil and salt, roast then eat. Make sure to dry the chickpeas as much as possible before roasting and don’t be stingy on the olive oil. You can use less, but your chickpeas will be less crispy.

Drink clean
Skip the calorie loaded beers and sugary mixers like juices and soda, and stick to clear liquors like vodka and tequila to limit calorie intake while still having fun. Keep it moving!
