Today is National Hug-A-Vegetarian Day, and we want to celebrate! In addition to giving our veggie-friends the biggest hugs we can, we have scoured our favorite food blogs to bring you three vegetarian meals that are high in protein and sure to power you up for your next FHIX.

The beans, potatoes and everything else inside this burrito provide 12 grams of protein per serving. An average whole-wheat wrap contains 6-8 grams of protein. Even at your hungriest moments, this bowl will leave you feeling satisfied and then some. The hummus recipe included is so delicious and we highly advise you make it! If you’re short on time you can substitute it with store-bought hummus. Asparagus, arugula and tomatoes provide a generous serving of veggies, while chickpeas, white-bean hummus and polenta power you up with 17 grams of protein and a serving of complex carbs. Vegetarians get a lot of grief over their protein intake. This patty is vegan and provides 11 grams of protein through lentils, quinoa, beans and nuts. Take that vegan-shamers!
