Meet Our New FHITpro: Dean

Dean, aka “Dean-Fitmachine”, is a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and nutrition coach in NYC. Originally from Texas, Dean toured the world as a dancer and performing artist dedicated to enriching the world through movement and music. Staying strong outside of the dance floor led him to the fitness industry, finding his true passion in motivating people to be their personal best. He firmly believes that anything is achievable through working smart, consistency, dedication, and a really dope playlist.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself. 

I used to be on the dance television show Barney and Friends. So make sure you check me out singing and dancing.

Favorite food of all time?

Blueberry cookies, blueberry pie, anything with blueberries in it, because I am a huge fan of sweets. I can’t get enough. That’s why I enjoy Fhitting Room classes because they balance my sugar cravings out.

Favorite music to work out to? 

My playlists are funky, fun, and flavorful so you can test your limits and celebrate that body(-ody-ody-ody-ody) *Insert Megan thee Stallion gif*

Favorite kettlebell move? 

My favorite kettlebell move is actually one that I am constantly working on…the kettlebell snatch.

What can people expect in your class?

My classes are vivacious, energetic, and empowering! I have high expectations FHIXers! Expect to push your limits and embrace being powerful as you unlock your personal potential.

Best piece of advice? 

If it’s important to you, you’ll find a way. If it’s not, you’ll find an excuse. 

Why do you love Fhitting Room?

You get a mix of everything. You get a little bit of strength, a little bit of cardio, and definitely a lot of fun!

First FHIX experience?

My first FHIX experience was radical! We had a strength section, a circuit, and I was done! Then I heard we had MORE…the FHIX. By the end, I was truly floored wondering why and when! ???? Why did I sign up for this and when can I take class again? ????????

Go-to item you always carry in your workout bag? 

I usually always have a good CBD rub like RCVR or at least an empty bottle because I use it so often! My #1 go-to is my Theragun or lacrosse ball. I usually use it at the begging or end of a workout… sometimes both! Recovery is important whether it’s 10 min or 2 min… every little bit helps so that I’m ready for the next day’s FHIX!
